Vallée de la Marne

Vallée de la Marne is an area of A.O.C. Champagne in front of Montagne de Reims. In this area the soil is particularly chalky and turns progressively into limestone and clay. The most suitable vine for this soil is Pinot Meunier. The vine is round and fruity and all producers look for its charming features.

Vallée de la Marne and Montagne de Reims do not produce Pinot Meunier only, but the quality of this fantastic vine is supported by the Pinot Noir in Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and Chardonnay in Pierry.

Vines Variety: 10% Chardonnay, 27% Pinot Noir, 63% Pinot Meunier.

Grand Cru villages: Aÿ, Tours-Sur-Marne.

Premier Cru villages: Hautvillers, Cumières, Dizy, Champillon, Mutigny, Mareuil-Sur-Aÿ, Bisseuil.
